Summary: Transliteracy is the ability to read, write and interact across multiple mediums, including handwriting, print, TV, radio, film, and digital social networks. This article includes an in-depth definition of transliteracy, its history, the newer mediums that it incorporates today, how it forces literacy to evolve, and the future of transliteracy.

Evaluation: This would be a read for someone who is really, really interested in transliteracy. This piece is a bit wordy, but it is definitely full of quality information and interesting tidbits. I liked that this piece talked about some of the pros and cons of the digital age, and the interesting ways technology has changed our “literary behavior”.
